Young Saints caters especially for younger members of the church and takes place during part of the Parish Eucharist on Sundays at 10.00am in the Birinus room. Each week a different theme is taken in line with the church calendar (or liturgical clock) and festivals; Advent, Easter etc. or a Christian story from the Bible or other Christian subjects; prayer, baptism and so on. Various activities are used to enhance the theme of the week such as Godly Play, games, craft etc.
There is a crèche area for the 0-3 year olds and after this the children are encouraged to join Young Saints.
Approximately once a month all Age Worship services are held. This is where the children get involved in the church service by joining in with the sermon activity, reading the prayers or helping out where ever they feel most comfortable.
A termly newsletter is produced which provides an insight into what will be happening in Young Saints including the themes for each week, current events, birthdays and so on.
Age is no barrier to the group, we have toddlers, through to senior school ages. Parents or guardians are very welcome to join us in the Birinus room for as long as their children want them to stay - so come and join us!
