Heritage Open Days - Church Open -- Saturday 9 September from 9.30am until 4.30pm and on Sunday from 12 noon until 4.30pm
As part of the National Heritage Open Days Scheme All Saints are opening specially on:-
Saturday 9 September from 9.30am until 4.30pm and on Sunday from 12 noon until 4.30pm
please come and look around your church at leisure, to learn things you never knew and to ask those questions you always wanted to.
(Ride and Stride is also taking place on the Saturday)
You can look at the font and pulpit by Thomas Earp, the beautiful stained-glass windows by John Hardman and William Wailes, as well as a 20th century window by the famous 20th century glass designer Sir Ninian Comper, the elaborate choir stall carvings, the mediaeval style wall stencilling and the floor brasses. And don’t forget to ask about Inspector Morse!
Ken Smith will be giving a talk about the church at 2.00pm on Saturday and 3.00pm on Sunday.
Relf Clark will be giving an organ recital at 2.30pm on the Sunday. (Click here for Programme)
