Faith Growth at All Saints
Faith Growth at All Saints, combines the Alpha and Emmaus courses with Godly Play to enable all members of All Saints to grow in faith. The current course schedule is below, we are taking bookings for these courses and you can book online or request further information by visiting the Faith Growth booking form.
The Communion Model
- In our Eucharist we pray each week, "We break this bread to share in the body of Christ. Though we are many, we are one body, because we all share in the one bread."
- The Caravaggio painting of the Supper at Emmaus is the climax of the Easter Resurrection Story found in Luke 24:13-35. In this setting of hospitality Jesus breaks the bread and the early disciples are brought into a living relationship with the Lord. He has earlier explained the scriptures and they have come alive in their hearts and now they are charged to become the early Church.
- Through our Faith Growth activities drawn from Emmaus, Alpha and Godly Play we follow the same pattern as those early disciples did. We do this
- By sharing food and hospitality
- By opening the scriptures together
- By praying together
- By sharing the resurrection hope with others
Do come and travel the Road to Emmaus journey with us, so we can grow in faith with the Risen Lord and share that faith with others.
